OUR PURPOSE
The Florida Wildlife Hospital & Sanctuary is a non-profit organization dedicated to Florida's wildlife in need.

OUR MISSION
Our Mission is to aid injured, sick, and abandoned native Florida wildlife and migratory birds and return them to their place in the ecosystem.

OUR DAILY OPERATION
Each day, 365 days a year, the Florida Wildlife Hospital and Sanctuary is open to receive local native wildlife. Some of the animals that we aid include pelicans, herons, songbirds, turtles, and raccoons. We are also faced with many declining species that are of special concern which include the sandhill crane, the gopher tortoise, and the osprey.

OUR ACCOUNTABILITY
We care for over 3,500 wild animals in an average year. Information on each animal is recorded and submitted as required by the the regulating bodies for wildlife rehabilitation facilities: the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

OUR FUNDING

Although we are licensed by state and federal government agencies, we receive no funding from them. We operate only on donations from membership dues, local companies, and grants. Your support is extremely important to the Florida Wildlife Hospital and to the continued care of Florida's treasure--our wildlife.
